Osh, March 3, 2022 . / Kabar /. The central square of Osh city hosted on Thursday a solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Day of Approval of the National Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic. As part of the event, a 15-meter flag was carried to the central square by members of the Osh garrison.
The event was attended by Osh city Mayor Almaz Mambetov, Presidential Envoy in Osh Oblast Ziyadin Zhamaldinov, Deputy Chairman of the Osh City Council Shaiyrbek Nuranov, as well as representatives of the Osh city public, deputies of the City Council, citizens, servicemen and city activists.
In his welcoming speech, the mayor noted that the Day of the National Flag is one of the significant state holidays and in Osh it has always been celebrated solemnly and at the highest level.
National flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved on March 3, 1992.
The main flag and the flagpole in Osh were installed in 2009. The national flag was set on a flagpole 45 meters high, the width of the flag is 10 meters and its length is 15 meters.
