325 children adopted in Kyrgyzstan in 6 months of 2022

Bishkek, July 22, 2022. /Kabar/. Since the beginning of the year, 325 children in Kyrgyzstan have been adopted and 207 have been returned to families from orphanages. This became known during the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration.

Since the beginning of this year, the ministry has helped 85.5% of detected children overcome difficult life situations. This figure is 25.7% better compared to the same period last year (in 2021 - 59.8%).

In addition, during the reporting period the work on withdrawal of families from difficult life situations was also improved: 67.2% of the identified 692 families (227 families) received assistance. This is almost 30.4% more than in 2021 (36.8%).

Since the beginning of the year, 325 children have been placed for national adoption by court decision. The number of foster families has increased by 35.2% (91 families) and there are 67 foster family candidates on the registry. 185 orphans and children left without parental care were placed in foster families (an increase of 25%).

14 children were repatriated from Russia and Kazakhstan. At present, work is underway to find relatives.

As a result of this work, 207 children have been returned to their families.
