Bishkek, July 18, 2022. /Kabar/. 38 people, including 20 children, drowned in Kyrgyzstan in six months, Minister of Emergency Situations of the republic Boobek Azhikeyev said during a press conference in Bishkek on Monday.
He added that 22 emergencies were caused by mudflows, which affected 2,731 people, 46 social facilities. The minister noted that the biggest mud flows were registered in Suzak region of Jalal-Abad Oblast, where 838 houses were affected.
Azhikeyev also noted that number of drowned people in the country amounted to 38 people, among whom 20 are children.
