4,300 Kyrgyz citizens abroad are waiting for opportunity to return home- Deputy PM Boronov

Bishkek, Apr. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. 4 thousand 371 Kyrgyz citizens abroad are waiting for opportunity to return home, Kyrgyzstan's First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said during a session of the Parliament.

Since coronavirus emerging, Feb.2, more than 6 thousand people have returned to Kyrgyzstan on 35 charter flights.

"As of today, 4,371 more people want to return to their homeland. Of these, 2,716 are in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk," said the first deputy prime minister.

According to Boronov, the first charter flights were operated from China. There were also direct charter flights from Russia, Turkey, UAE, Egypt.

"We are working on this issue in a reinforced mode. We are negotiating with neighboring countries on an ongoing basis to open charter flights for the transportation of our citizens," he said.

Also, 355 Kyrgyz citizens in UAE are waiting to return home, in Ethiopia - 1, Oman - 1, India - 121, Maldives - 3, Sri Lanka - 1, Bangladesh - 6, Malaysia - 16, Indonesia - 9, Thailand - 21, Vietnam - 1, Kuwait - 25, Bahrain - 3, Qatar - 6, China - 5, South Korea - 20, Saudi Arabia - 3, Pakistan - 135, Japan - 19, Iran - 7, Jordan - 1, Congo - 1, Philippines - 1.

"In addition, 487 people in Turkey are willing to return, Belgium - 3, France - 14, UK - 17, Switzerland - 2, Italy - 10, Spain - 6, Lithuania - 5, Latvia - 1, USA - 135, Canada - 2 and others. A total of 825 people are waiting for returning in this region," Boronov informed.
