4 checkpoints to be opened at Kyrgyz-Uzbek border in 2019

Osh, Feb. 26, 2019. /Kabar/. 4 checkpoints are planned to be opened at the border of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in 2019, the press service of the plenipotentiary representative office of the government in Osh oblast reported.

According to the department, on February 25, Governor of Osh oblast Uzarbek Jylkybayev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Dzhunusov. At the meeting, participants discussed the current situation at the border, issues relating to tourism and trade and economic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, it became known that 6 of the 15 checkpoints were opened at the border of two states. This year it is planned to open 4 more checkpoints.
