Bishkek, July 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Intensive care wards with a capacity of 400 beds will be opened at Semetei observation center. This became known during a visit of Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov to the center.
Six two-storey buildings, which are on the balance of the State Committee on Defense Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, are currently undergoing major repairs.
According to physicians, these places are being created to treat and dynamically monitor serious ill citizens entering the observation center.
The prime minister got acquainted with the progress of repair work.
"Given the large number of COVID-19 and pneumonia patients in Bishkek and Chui Oblast, it was decided to promptly open additional beds. Everything necessary for quality treatment and work of medical personnel will be prepared here," Kubatbek Boronov said.
The intensive care wards will start receiving patients as early as tomorrow.
The Semetei center has a tot of 1700 beds, including 400 new beds.
