Bishkek, May 8, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Saturday 416 new COVID-19 cases, raising the national tally of infections to 98,079, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 reported.
A total of 308 recoveries were reported over the past day, taking the national count to 91,267 while 6 deaths were reported, pushing the tally up to 1,649.
Currently, 1,653 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospitals throughout the country, including 83 in intensive care units, while another 2,514 patients are receiving treatment at home, the headquarters said.
The headquarters also said that 41,854 people were vaccinated across Kyrgyzstan, since the vaccination campaign started in March using Chinese-donated vaccine. Later the country received Sputnik V vaccine from Russia.
