426 houses completely destroyed in Batken, another 187 subject to major repairs

Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2022 / Kabar /. As a result of Tajikistan’s armed invasion of Kyrgyzstan 613 residential buildings were damaged in Batken Oblast, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov told at a press conference at Kabar.

According to his data, 426 of them were destroyed, 187 are subject to major repairs.

He noted that 9 administrative buildings, 15 social facilities, 323 utility facilities, 171 life support facilities were also damaged.

These damages are the result of Tajikistan’s armed aggression on September 14-17, when they attacked the Kyrgyz border outposts and villages of Batken and Osh Oblasts in order to seize the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of a perfidious planned military invasion by the armed forces of Tajikistan, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, 59 people were killed, including military personnel and civilians andchildren; 198 were injured. Residential buildings, economic and social facilities, as well as life support facilities were also destroyed and damaged.
