Bishkek, Mar. 15, 2019. /Kabar/. Over the past year, the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry (SAEPF) has reviewed 710 applications for funding nature protection initiatives.
The press service of the agency reported that 436 of them were approved, and the sum of already financed 254 applications amounted to 85 million 889 thousand 300 soms.
It was clarified that the main areas of financing for nature protection are rational use of water and land resources, management of production and consumption wastes, maintenance of the forest industry, planting of greenery and landscaping, protection of atmospheric air, biodiversity conservation, development of specially protected natural areas, and increasing the capacity of the conservation management department. environment and more.
These measures, as noted by the SAEPF, are carried out within the framework of implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on Declaring 2019 the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country, as well as the Government program “Unity, Trust and Creation”.
From 2014 to 2018, the SAEPF purchased 87 units of special equipment for all regions of the country for a total of 185 million 293 thousand 800 soms from the nature conservation and forestry development funds.
