Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2021. / Kabar /. There have been cases of side effects after vaccination with Astra Zeneca Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad Oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the country said.
In total, 211 people were vaccinated in Jalal-Abad with Astra Zeneca vaccine. It is known that in this military unit, out of 90 vaccinated patients, side effects were registered in 4 individuals after immunization with the Astra Zeneca ABX 3117 vaccine. The side effects were observed with various clinical symptoms: hyperthermia above 39 C, severe headache. And 40 servicemen had subfebrile temperature. In this connection, 44 military personnel who received the vaccine were taken under the supervision of medical workers.
At the moment, all patients are in stable condition, they are under medical supervision.
Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Zhalalidin Rakhmatulaev, as well as responsible specialists left for the site.
“Currently, we do not know if some or all of these events were caused by the vaccine or other random factors. We understand people's concerns and will continue to share the latest information on this topic once the review is complete.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development has taken steps to strengthen monitoring of vaccine safety. The use of this series of vaccines has been temporarily suspended until the causal relationship of these adverse events with the vaccine identified,” said in a statement.
