450 new coronavirus cases identified in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Sept. 9, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Sept. 9, total number of COVID-19 cases in Uzbekistan has climbed to 44 thousand 557, the press service of the Health Ministry reported Wednesday.

Over the past 24 hours, 450 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were identified, and 304 patients have recovered, 6 more people have passed away.

The country sees an increase in cases of coronavirus infection. Specialists attribute this to the easing of quarantine requirements from Sept. 4.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 41,898 (94%) people in Uzbekistan have cured of coronavirus, and the nationwide death toll stands at 362.

2,297 patients are receiving treatment, 402 of them are in severe condition, state of 226 assessed as extremely serious.
