47 mln people learned about Manas epic in one week

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2022 / Kabar /. 47 million people learned about the Manas epic in a week, Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Rysbai Isakov told reporters at the Kabar Agency.

Rysbai Isakov, Manas narrator of the Kyrgyz Republic, entered the Guinness Book of Records for longest marathon reading aloud of the Manas epic tale - 124 hours. The Manas Week event was held in the Turkish city of Bursa as part of the IV World Nomad Games.

He said that the main purpose of participating in the event is to popularize the Manas epic.

“Thus, according to the information of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), over a week more than 47 million users read the information that the legend of the Manas epic was included in the Guinness Book of Records,” he noted.
