Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2020 / Kabar /. 48 people will run for the presidency of Kyrgyzstan as of Nov. 23, the press service of the Central Election Commission (CEC) reported.
In total, 65 people submitted applications to the CEC to nominate their candidates for the post of head of state, but before the end of the nomination period, two withdrew their applications. There were 63 candidates left, then another 15 for various reasons dropped out of the election race.
The Central Election Commission returned the documents of three candidates due to unspent conviction:
- Kubanychbek Kadyrov;
- Bektur Asanov;
- Nurlan Motuev.
Also, in connection with the failure to present the Kyrgyztest certificate on checking the knowledge of the state language, the documents were returned:
- Anar Zaripova;
- Anarkul Araeva;
- Tynchtyk Akzholtoev;
- Julia Lilienthal;
- Chyngyz Kaparov;
- Jeenbek Iskenderov;
- Elena Klipacheva;
- Sultan Adzhimatov;
- Kuttumidin Bazarkulov.
Thus, at the moment there are 48 candidates left:
1. Adakhan Madumarov - leader of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party;
2. Arstanbek Abdyldaev (Arstan Alai) - director of Aurdin LLC;
3. Kuban Choroev - economist;
4. Nazarbek Nyshanov - activist;
5. Kanat Isaev - ex-speaker of Jogorku Kenesh;

7. Sazykbai Turdumaliev - head of the Ulutman party;
8. Rashid Tagaev - ex-director of the Gazprom branch in Osh;

10. Klara Sooronkulova - public and political figure, ex-judge of the Constitutional Chamber;

13. Eleonora Turdubekova - head of the boarding school of the Bishkek Choreographic School named after Bazarbayev;
