Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. As of Feb. 7, 1,104,371 people in Kyrgyzstan had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, i.e., had received the first and the second shots of the vaccine.
The Health Ministry of the country reported that this is 49% of the number of citizens to be vaccinated.
To achieve collective immunity, 2,249,731 people, or 70 percent of the population need to receive the vaccine. Today, there are enough vaccines in the country, and citizens can get vaccinated with Pfizer, Sputnik Light, Moderna and Sinopharm vaccines.
Immunization against the coronavirus began at the end of March 2021. During this period, 1,353,221 people received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine, and 76,057 Kyrgyzstanis were vaccinated with the third (booster) dose.
