Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2020 / Kabar /. 8,337 cases of domestic violence were registered in Kyrgyzstan during 11 months of 2020, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Mamatkanov told at the governmental meeting.
In the same period in 2019, 7,428 cases were registered.
25 people were detained for 48 hours on suspicion of domestic.
According to data of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, criminal cases related to domestic violence were filed in the first half of 2020 in 71 cases of first instance. 49 people suffered, including 11 minors.
In the first half of 2020, the courts received 627 cases of misconduct, of which 120 cases were considered by verdict, 349 cases were discontinued, 8 cases were returned to the prosecutor's office, and 149 cases remained.
