Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2023. /Kabar/. The 49th meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks was held in Bishkek on November 1-2.
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the issues of supervision of the banking and non-banking sectors carried out by members of the Council were discussed at the meeting and measures to ensure financial stability, the development of national payment systems, and achieving transparency of the central bank were discussed.
In addition, information was presented on the activities of specialized coordination and advisory councils on the issues of professional training of personnel of central (national) banks, the production of banknotes, the development of the numismatic market, the issuance of commemorative and collectible coins, the fight against counterfeiting, the audit activities of central (national) banks, protection of the rights of consumers of financial services.
The Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks is an integration association whose goal is to deepen integration in the financial and banking sector, coordinate the actions of the parties on the development of national monetary, financial and banking systems, improve multilateral and bilateral payment and settlement relations and other issues.
Members of the Council are the central (national) banks of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The Interstate Bank performs the functions of the secretariat of the Council.
