Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2018. /Kabar/. In January-September, 2018, 5,118 road accidents were registered in Kyrgyzstan, where 458 people were killed, Senior Prosecutor of the Department for the Supervision of Intelligence Operations and Investigation Maksat Kambaraliyev told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
He said that 265 criminal cases had been initiated involving accidents, 147 of them were being checked, and criminal investigation regarding 4,710 of them was denied.
“458 traffic accidents were fatal, 6,299 people were injured. 977 accidents involving minors were registered, as a result of which 1,118 were injured, 62 were killed,” Kambaraliyev said.
He noted that most accidents are registered in Bishkek, Chuy, Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts.
