5 new codes and 2 laws to come into force in Kyrgyzstan in 2019

Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2018. /Kabar/. In Bishkek, experts discussed the new Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Law, one of the developers of the changes Kanat Smanaliev told during the Expert Cafe on the topic “New Laws of the Criminal Law Area” in Bishkek.

As is known, on January 1, 2019, the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Code of Misconduct, the Code of Criminal Procedure, the CorrectionalCode, the Code of Violations, the laws on probation and the principles of amnesty and the procedure for its application are coming into force. Thus, from next year 5 new codes and 2 new laws are coming into force.

Smanaliyev said that in connection with the changes, the law on probation, adopted in the framework of humanization, may be applied to certain persons who have committed a crime.

"All previously voiced documents lie at the heart of the development of new codes. They have been reflected in the adopted changes," the expert commented.
