Over 50 sanitary quarantine stations established in Osh Oblast

Osh, March 23, 2020./Kabar/. 31 roadblocks and 51 sanitary quarantine stations (SQS) have been established in Osh Oblast, the press service of the Osh Oblast Department of Internal Affairs said.

Due to introduction of an emergency situation in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, from March 22, 2020 in following regions of Osh Oblast roadblocks and SQS were set up:

-in Alay region- 2 roadblocks;

-in Aravan region- 3;

-in Kara-Suu region-11;

-in Kara-Kuldzha region- 3;

-in Uzgen region-5;

-in Nookat region- 8 roadblocks and 28 SQS (where 3 cases of COVID-19 were detected)

In total, 31 roadblocks and 51 sanitary and quarantine stations were established.

The posts are staffed by police and medical personnel. The main task of the posts is to identify patients with coronavirus, to clarify the people who had contact with the patients and to stop the threat of infection.

These activities are carried out in order to take care of the health of citizens. As of today, restrictions are being introduced on the departure of citizens outside the territory of their residence.

"For the health of society we have to take such measures. Therefore, we ask citizens to understand and apologize for the temporary inconvenience," the report says.

As of March 23, 14 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the republic.
