517 citizens of Kyrgyzstan returned from Syria and Iraq since 2021

Bishkek, May 15, 2024. /Kabar/. 517 children and adult citizens of Kyrgyzstan have been repatriated from Syria and Iraq since 2021, First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Zhyparisa Rysbekova told at the first meeting of the Regional Expert Council in Central Asia on the rehabilitation and reintegration of returnees, which was held in the city of Tashkent.

“The return of our citizens from Syria and Iraq is carried out on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and within the framework of the Action Plan approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. After arriving in Kyrgyzstan, citizens undergo rehabilitation, theological, and pedagogical activities, after which they are transferred to related families,” she said.
