552 foreigners receive work visa since early 2019 – Shakirov

Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2019. /Kabar/. Since the beginning of 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued 552 work visas to foreign nationals, head of the passport and visa department at the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakhtiyar Shakirov told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.

Citizens of 45 countries of the world can visit Kyrgyzstan without visas, these countries are among those very developed. “Every year, the citizens of these countries come to our state more on various business and tourist visits. Also, citizens of 68 countries of the world can apply for a visa under a simplified procedure either upon arrival in Kyrgyzstan or at any consular office,” Shakirov said.

He noted that according to the electronic visa system, more than 33 thousand foreigners have been issued visas. “These categories of visas relate mainly to short-term business visits, which suggests that Kyrgyzstan is very attractive to foreign investors. There are also many tourists among visitors to the country,” Shakirov stressed.
