556 new COVID-19 cases revealed in Kyrgyzstan, total at 55,144

Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's tally of COVID-19 cases has risen to 55,144 on Saturday.

Thus, 556 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection were revealed over the past 24 hours, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said.

According to the HQ latest data, number of nationwide recoveries from COVID-19 has reached 47,337 after another 287 coronavirus patients have cured.

In Kyrgyzstan, four more people died from COVID-19.

The disease caused by a novel coronavirus has claimed lives of 1,130 Kyrgyzstanis.

Among the new cases identified, 3 are medical workers. A total of 3,569 medics contracted COVID-19 so far, 3,251 of them have recovered.

Currently, 3,300 coronavirus patients are receiving treatment in hospitals of the country, and 2,871 - at home.
