56th plenary meeting of IPA CIS taking place in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2023. / Kabar/. The 56th plenary meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) is taking place in Bishkek.

The meeting is attended by members of parliamentary delegations of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international organizations, scientists and experts.

The central theme of the event will be the role of the Russian language as a language of interethnic communication in the CIS; participants will also consider a number of model laws: “On insurance of liability of medical entities for causing harm to the patient”, “On assessing the potential impact of mining activities on the health of the population living in adjacent territories”, "On organic production."

In addition, parliamentarians plan to adopt changes to the model Criminal Code for the CIS member states in terms of liability for financing terrorism.

At the same time, recommendations for the CIS states on the prevention and suppression of violations in the field of information technology, recommendations on improving legal regulation in the field of suppressing illegal activities in the waters of the CIS states and recommendations on developing cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of economic security will be considered.
