58 emergencies registered in Kyrgyzstan since October 2021

Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2022. /Kabar/. 58 emergencies were registered on the territory of the republic from October 2021 to October 2022, which is 16% more than last year, Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Azhikeev told at a press conference at Kabar.

According to his data, 50 emergencies were registered from October 2020 to October 2021.

“As a result of the emergency, 340 citizens died this year. 213 of these deaths are related to COVID-19. Due to the emergency situation in the Batken region, 63 of our citizens died. Also, for the same period from October 2020 to October 2021, 1,364 citizens died, of which 1,251 people died from COVID-19,” he informed.

The minister noted that this year, compared with previous years, the number of deaths has decreased by 4 times. “Material costs amounted to 535 million 590 thousand 600 soms, which is 72.3% less than last year. In the first half of 2021, material costs amounted to 1 billion 390 million 782 thousand 200 soms,” he added.
