600-1000 international observers to arrive in Kyrgyzstan for presidential elections

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2017 / Kabar /. About 600 - 1,000 international observers are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan to monitor presidential elections on October 15, chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurzhan Shaildabekova told journalists at the presentation of the electoral system.

She said that to date 500 international observers have been accredited.

Shaildabekova also said that today all the polling stations in Kyrgyzstan are ready for the elections.

In addition, representatives of the CEC told about the innovations in the electoral system.

This year a regulation on the Information Election System has been developed, and a program to improve data analysis has been improved. An expert commission is also being established, which will conduct public monitoring on the voting day and during the summing-up.

Standards of voting and data transfer to the central server of the CEC will remain the same.
