As part of the Strategy for the provision of clean water to the population, 650 villages of the country will be provided with clean water, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov told during a meeting with residents of Sokuluk region, Chuy oblast, on January 9, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.

“Negotiations are underway on financing these projects with the EBRD, the World Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank. The People’s Republic of China and Arab countries are also showing interest in cooperation on implementing projects for providing the population with clean water. In the next 5 years, all the regions of Kyrgyzstan will be provided with clean water, this is one of my election promises,” Jeenbekov said.
