Bishkek, Apr. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 22 more people have been infected COVID-19 in the past day. Seven of them are medical workers, Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usenbayev said at a briefing today.
Thus, a total of 147 health workers in the country have been infected with coronavirus.
"It is gratifying to note that to date, 13 of the infected physicians have already discharged. Some have already taken up their duties back," Usenbayev said.
As of 10:00 a.m. on Apr. 21, the number of cases of coronavirus infection has reached 590, including 147 cases among medical workers.
12 patients in hospitals are in severe condition, 5 of them are in intensive care.
A total of 216 citizens have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Death toll from COVID-19 has reached 7.
