70% of education employees in Kyrgyzstan received coronavirus vaccine

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, 70% of education employees have been vaccinated against COVID-19, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the republic Nadira Dzhusupbekova said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

She added that currently the work in this direction continues.

The new academic year in educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan will start in the traditional format on Sept. 15.

Kyrgyzstan launched a nationwide vaccination campaign on March 29 after the arrival of China donated Sinopharm vaccine. The Central Asian country also carries vaccination with the Russian Sputnik-V and Astra Zeneca vaccines, which were delivered as humanitarian aid.

In total, 735,621 doses of COVID-19 vaccines has been administered in the country.
