70% of residents of Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn received first shot of coronavirus vaccine

Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2021 . / Kabar / . Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held on Friday a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.

During the meeting, the issues of vaccination of population against COVID-19 were discussed, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

The deputy chairman of the Cabinet thanked Naryn town (Naryn Oblast), where 70% of residents received the first dose of vaccine and 61.5% - the second one.

Edil Baisalov compared other regions and oblasts of the republic, and noted the difference in indicators. Thus, only 22.5% of residents of Chui Oblast received the first dose of the vaccine, and in Bishkek - 28%.

He drew attention to the rate at which citizens within oblasts received the vaccine. For example, in Chui region, Chui Oblast 43% of population was vaccinated with the first dose, while in Sokuluk region of the same oblast the figures were 15.5%.

During the virtual meeting of the HQ participants discussed the logistics of delivering vaccine doses to regions of the country.
