Bishkek, Mar. 6, 2019. /Kabar/. To date, 710 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in labor migration abroad, Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Samat Toktobolotov told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
He said that this is an approximate number. “Of these, 640 thousand left for Russia, 30 thousand – for Turkey, 15 thousand – for Korea, 30-35 thousand – for Kazakhstan, the rest went to Europe, America, etc. We can say that there is no strong outflow of population, it remains at the same level. At this time, several private employment agencies for Denmark, the Czech Republic, Poland and Japan opened and obtained license. Now they have begun work on the employment of Kyrgyz people in these countries. If a company abroad has an agreement with an employment agency, there can be no problems with obtaining visas,” Toktobolotov said.
He also noted and urged citizens who are going to go abroad to earn money, learn the language, the country's legislation and carefully choose the employment agency so as not to become a victim of human trafficking. “Currently there are 110 private employment agencies in Kyrgyzstan,” Toktobolotov said.
