75th anniversary of founding of China celebrated in Bishkek

Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2024. / Kabar /. A ceremonial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held in Bishkek on Wednesday.

The celebration, organized by the Chinese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, was attended by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, ministers, heads of government agencies, international organizations, the diplomatic corps, representatives of business circles, the Chinese diaspora and prominent figures of culture and art of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the media.

In his congratulating speech, Akylbek Zhaparov, on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, the Cabinet of Ministers and himself, congratulated those present on this significant date and noted the rich history and unique culture of China.

He emphasized the successful path of China's modernization under the leadership of Deng Xiaoping and the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative, which unites more and more countries.

Zhaparov also noted the relevance of the Chinese experience for Kyrgyzstan in the context of ongoing economic reforms.

He added that the last three years in particular have become a breakthrough in Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation, noting that the volume of trade between the two countries reached almost $ 20 billion in 2023.

Akylbek Zhaparov expressed hope for further strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, emphasizing that the joint efforts of the two countries will create new opportunities for the prosperity and development of both peoples.

Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen congratulating the participants focused on the achievements that China has made over these 75 years.

"Over the past 75 years, China has transformed from a weak and poor country into the world's second economy. China's economic power has increased significantly. Today, China has become the only country in the world that has all types of industry in the UN Industrial Classification Catalog. China firmly ranks first in the world in terms of the scale of the manufacturing industry, volumes of trade in goods and foreign exchange reserves, volumes of automobile production and exports, and the number of patents," she said.

Speaking about the relations between the two countries, Ambassador Du Dewen noted that under the strategic leadership of the heads of state, Chinese-Kyrgyz relations have reached a historical height.

"Good neighbors, good friends, reliable partners and brothers are a vivid reflection of the high level of today's Chinese-Kyrgyz relations," she noted.
