Bishkek, Apr. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. The second consignment of 760 tons of wheat was delivered to Kyrgyzstan from Russia. Another 53 wagons of wheat will arrive in the country the other day, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said.
Earlier, the State Material Reserves Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia’s Food Corporation have signed an agreement to purchase 33 thousand tons of wheat. To date, about 1800 tons of the total volume has been delivered to the republic.
Wheat purchased for food security by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has a high protein content.
The warehouses of the State Material Reserves Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic have sufficient wheat stock. There is no shortage of flour and grain.
