Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. 77% of voters of Kyrgyzstan plan to take part in elections to the Jogorku Kenesh to be held on Oct. 4, research conducted by Common Cause Public Foundation says.
Second telephone survey of public opinion was conducted in the period on Sept. 7-15, 2020.
Thus, according to the results, 77% of respondents plan to take part in elections. 62% will go to the elections regardless of the epidemiological situation related to COVID-19. 15% will make a decision depending on the epidemiological situation. 12% of respondents said that they will not vote in any case.
Also, more than half of the respondents (51%) do not know for which party they would like to vote. The number of undecided voters decreased from 58% to 51% compared to the first wave of the survey. 12% of respondents said they would vote “None of the above”, a 2% decrease from the previous survey. Only 24% of respondents named a political party for which they would like to vote.
53% of citizens speak about the probability of using administrative resource and estimate it as high (37%) and very high (16%).
In addition, 66% of respondents talk about the probability of using bribing votes and assess it as high (43%) and very high (23%), low (13%), zero (3%) and difficult to answer 16%.
39% of respondents know about the possibility of changing the election address.
In Kyrgyzstan, parliamentary elections are scheduled for Oct. 4, 2020.
