Bishkek, March 9, 2021 / Kabar /. More than 82 percent of children were covered by distance learning in Kyrgyzstan, the country’s National Statistics Committee reported.
This is the data of the Cluster Survey on the impact of COVID-19 on the situation of children and women in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the study, mobile phone / tablet - 98.9% was mainly used for distance learning, as well as TV - 51.5%, computer / laptop - 5.6% and other - 0.7%.
The share of parents of children who are not satisfied with the online learning process was 78 percent. The main reasons for dissatisfaction were that the child did not understand the teaching materials well. Almost half of the children did not have a high-quality Internet connection and did not always have time to watch TV lessons, a third did not have the opportunity to pay for mobile communications / Internet. About 37 percent said there was insufficient equipment.
