Bishkek, Feb. 18, 2022. / Kabar /. As a result of the work carried out in 2021, the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan identified 5,412 children in difficult life situation, the press service of the ministry said.
Of these, 72% or 3,890 children were taken out of difficult life situation. This is 3% more than in 2020.
Also, 440 families were taken out of a difficult life situation.
As of January 1, 2022, 132 children are being raised in foster families (in 2020 - 72 children).
It is also noted that in 2021, 79 children were repatriated, who, together with their mothers, were kept in prisons in Baghdad (Iraq). After the completion of rehabilitation, legal proceedings to establish guardians and documentation, all children were transferred to their relatives.
