7th BRICS Media Summit kicks off in Moscow

Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2024. /Kabar/. The BRICS Media Summit, organized by the Russian news agency TASS, has started in Moscow.

The event is attended by the heads of leading media structures of the BRICS countries and more than 60 media outlets from 45 countries that have expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the association.

The panel sessions are planned to discuss the role of the BRICS media community in strengthening stability in a multipolar world, as well as technological aspects of information interaction between the countries of the association.

TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov, opening the seventh BRICS Media Summit, noted that BRICS is a real force with a political, economic and humanitarian dimension. At the same time, the leaders of the member countries, as well as the heads of the media in these countries, need to coordinate their actions in order to build a new, fair world order.

The main events of the summit program will take place on September 14 and 15, where a panel discussion "BRICS Media: Technological Transformation on the Path to a New World" will be held. On the same day, the results of the two-day work will be summed up and the final declaration of the BRICS Media Summit will be adopted.

The Kyrgyz side represented by Director General of the Kabar News Agency Mederbek Shermetaliev is taking part in the meeting.

The summit will run until September 15.
