Bishkek, May 19, 2020 / Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, 8 policemen have been tested positive for COVID- 19 among 11 new confirmed cases in Naryn Oblast, Deputy Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbaev told Tuesday at his regular news briefing.
He said that all the contracted policemen are hospitalized and receive appropriate treatment.
“In this regard, an expanded screening of the entire personnel of the Department of Internal Affairs of Naryn Oblast is also carried out, ”said Usenbaev.
71 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Kyrgyzstan as of May 19, raising the total to 1243.
Fourteen have passed away.
