Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2021 / Kabar /. In Bishkek, since the beginning of schooling as usual, 8 schoolchildren and 5 teachers has been tested positive for COVID-19, Elmira Imanalieva, head of the education department of the Bishkek Mayor's Office told at a press coffee.
She said that after the cases detected among schoolchildren and teachers, the data are sent to the center of state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance of Bishkek and the city health department.
“After all these measures, the class where the case of infection was detected is sent for remote training for 14 days, but if several cases of infection are recorded, the school is closed,” she said.
She added that currently 1 school had to be closed in the capital due to the detection of cases of COVID-19 infection.
The educational facilities in Bishkek resumed regular training since Feb. 1, after online education since March, 2020.
