818 thsd driver licenses issued within 5 years in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, the number of issued driving licenses from 2015 to Oct. 1, 2020 amounted to 818 072 units. Of these, 809 570 are driving licenses of national sample, 8502 are international units.

A total of 286 196 units of national ample were replaced during these years. Primary issuance of national driving licenses during this period made up 375 709 units.

According to the statistical data, the peak of issuing of driving licenses of national sample attained in 2019 - 147 226 units.

The largest number of international driving licenses (2,584) was issued in 2015.

At the end of 2019, the State Registration Service of the republic started issuing driving licenses of national sample according to new standards. They have 20 protection elements and the cost decreased to KGS 554.86 (about USD 6.5). Earlier driving licenses cost EUR 12 (KGS 920).

The cost of driving licenses of international type is KGS 246 (about USD 3).
