829 citizens, 4 foreigners pardoned in honor of holiday in Turkmenistan

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . 829 citizens of Turkmenistan and 4 foreigners convicted on the territory of the country will be released from prison in accordance with the pardon decree signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, ORIENT reported citing the evening newscast of the Turkmen television

The Turkmen leader instructed the heads of local authorities to help those pardoned with employment.

In Turkmenistan, a pardon action is traditionally held on the eve of important national and state holidays. This time the action of pardoning convicts is held in honor of the 31st anniversary of the country's independence.
