85 yo resident of Kyrgyzstan’s Dzhalal-Abad Oblast beats coronavirus

Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. 85-year-old resident of Ala-Buka region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast who was previously diagnosed with coronavirus infection has been discharged from hospital, the press service of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry reported.

The woman was among citizens who returned from the small Hajj in mid-March.

Immediately after arriving in Bishkek on March 13, all passengers, including her, were taken for PCR analysis. It turned out to be positive, and as a result, 85-year-old woman was hospitalized.

A daughter-in-law accompanying her on the trip had negative test results, but for the safety of the whole family she was placed at 100-bed observation point in Ala-Buka region.

"Today the whole family feels well and strictly observe all quarantine measures. Today there are 13 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in Ala-Buka region, most cases are asymptomatic. Fortunately, there are no seriously ill patients," the report says.

Kyrgyzstan has reported 682 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with eight deaths and 370 recoveries so far.
