Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. The 8th meeting of Ministers of Economy of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) is taking place in Bishkek.
Kyrgyz Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov noted that within the framework of the priority areas of cooperation, Kyrgyzstan continues to implement measures to strengthen economic cooperation between the countries of the CCTS.
“Strengthening economic cooperation among all the countries of the CCTS, we use the platform of this meeting as an opportunity to share experience in solving the most pressing economic problems. This platform also allows us to contribute to the solution of common issues that life poses for us and remains one of the most important and topical topics of discussion not only at the level of governments, but also representatives of the world community and authoritative international organizations,” Pankratov said.
Representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Hungary and the Secretariat of the Turkic Council are taking part in the meeting.
The day before, the 10th meeting of the Working Group on Economic Cooperation was held with the participation of experts from the countries of the CCTS (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey) and the Secretariat of the Turkic Council.
The meetings of the Ministers of Economy of the CCTS are held on an annual basis, the agenda of which includes discussions on improving the investment climate, increasing economic diversification, promoting trade and entrepreneurship.
This meeting of Ministers of Economy of Turkic-speaking states provides an opportunity to discuss the prospects for economic relations between countries, and also focuses on developing a common position on further deepening cooperation, which were considered during the 6th Summit of the CCTS on September 3, 2018.
