Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2019. / Kabar /. The 8th meeting of the Coordinating Council for Cooperation with the European Union was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic chaired by Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov with the participation of Council members, representatives of ministries and departments of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as head of the EU office in the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador Edward Auer, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the country reported.
The meeting participants reviewed the results of the implementation of the Work Plan of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with the EU for 2018 and measures to strengthen cooperation with the EU, heard reports on the implementation of the EU programs Sector Reform Contract - Social Protection Kyrgyzstan, The Rule of Law in the Kyrgyz Republic, Strengthening Democracy through Electoral Reform, Integrated Rural Development in the Kyrgyz Republic, and Education Sector Reform Contract.
The meeting approved the Work Plan of the Coordination Council for Cooperation with the EU for 2019.
