In connection with the unstable situation in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, continue to work on the evacuation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, the report said.

So, as of August 17, 2021, with the assistance of the embassy, ​​9 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were evacuated.

All other citizens are safe, and at present, appropriate measures are being taken to move them to the building of the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kabul.

Regarding the citizens of Afghanistan who have applied for help in obtaining a visa and evacuation to the Kyrgyz Republic, who are presumably ethnic Kyrgyz, the information is currently being verified, the Foreign Ministry said.
