Bishkek, June 15, 2022. / Kabar /. 9 representatives of airports from different countries took part in the conference on the modernization of the Manas International Airport of Kyrgyzstan, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
Thus, an investor conference was held at the Orion Hotel on Tuesday, organized by the Center for Public Private Partnership (PPP) under the National Investment Agency as part of the implementation of the Manas Airport Modernization PPP project.
The event was attended by representatives of Manas OJSC, ministries and state bodies of Kyrgyzstan, as well as companies that expressed interest in the project.
Among them:
• Munich Airports (Germany);
• Korea airports corporation (South Korea);
• Incheon airports (South Korea);
• EGIS (France);
• YDA Group (Turkey);
• Corporation America airports (Argentina);
• Airports of Regions (Russia);
• GMR Group (India);
• ICTAS (Turkey).
All companies have extensive operational experience in working with large infrastructure projects in the aviation sector.
Through the implementation of this project, Kyrgyzstan intends to position the Manas airport as a major aviation hub connecting Kyrgyzstan with the countries of Europe and Southeast Asia.
The possibilities and prospects of the airport in the realities of modern Kyrgyzstan were presented to potential investors. The latter, in turn, expressed high interest in this project and presented their companies, the report said.
The International Finance Company (IFC) was involved as a consultant in the implementation of the competition for the project of modernization of the Manas airport.
