1,966 more Kyrgyzstanis receive COVID-19 vaccine, total at 86,072

Bishkek, June 4, 2021 . / Kabar / . A total of 86,072 Kyrgyzstanis have been vaccinated against coronavirus so far, while 40,294 of them have received the second shot.

The Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 sad that 1,966 citizens received their vaccine, and 1,135 of them got the second dose.

Kyrgyzstan has started COVID-19 vaccination campaign on March 29 using China-donated vaccine after receiving 150 thousand doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese manufacturer Beijing Institute of Biological Product Co. Ltd on March 19. The vaccination is carried out twice, with an interval of 25-28 days. No side effects have been reported after immunization with this vaccine.

In addition, the first batch of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V in the amount of 20,000 doses was delivered to Bishkek on April 22.

On June 2, Director of the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center Gulbara Ishenapysova said the first component of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine Sinopharm has run out in the republic.
