966 school principals in Kyrgyzstan to be removed from their positions

Bishkek, July 13, 2022. /Kabar/. 966 school principals in Kyrgyzstan will be dismissed this year, Deputy Minister of Education of the country Ulanbek Mambetakunov said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

There are 2 thousand 333 schools in Kyrgyzstan, 966 principals will take part in the competition and 1 thousand 211 principals have been working for less than 5 years.

The deputy minister added that in August, principals will take part in the test.

Appointment of heads of general educational organizations is carried out by employers according to the results of competitive selection for a period of 5 years. That is, principals who have worked for 5 years in their position will be automatically removed, then they can apply for a competition.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Dzhusupbekova said that principal will be able to choose a school where he\she wants to work and apply there. As for the testing, it will be conducted not only in Bishkek but in all regions for convenience. At the moment, testing is being piloted in Talas.
