Ambassador Maripov meets with deputy FM of Saudi Arabia

Bishkek, Oct. 25, 2023 . / Kabar / . Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed Al-Khuraiji in Riyadh, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

During the meeting, the abassador noted that many tasks and issues of the Kyrgyz-Saudi agenda set for the Embassy have been accomplished, in particular, direct regular flights between the two countries have been launched, a Kyrgyz-Saudi business council has been established, work is being carried out within the intergovernmental commissions, joint projects are being implemented through the Saudi Fund for Development, and visits are exchanged at various levels on a regular basis.

Maripov also emphasized that the launch of direct air service should become one of the main drivers for increasing the volume of trade turnover between the countries, growth of tourist inflow and mutual integration of business processes of the two countries.

In turn, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of KSA Waleed Al-Khuraiji highly appreciated the dynamics of development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia and emphasized the need to further increase multifaceted cooperation.

He thanked the Kyrgyz side for the constant support of Saudi Arabia within the international organizations, as well as the Kingdom's requests to hold international events and expressed confidence that the parties will continue the course for further strengthening of bilateral relations.

Among other things, the parties noted with satisfaction the results of the first "CA+CCAS" Summit held on July 19 this year in Jeddah and the bilateral meeting of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Crown Prince, Prime Minister of KSA Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue working on the implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of the two states, as well as to focus attention and direct joint efforts to the development of trade, investment and cultural ties.
