Bishkek, Dec.3, 2018. / Kabar /. Today, the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan with the assistance of partners launches a charity campaign in support of children with disabilities and their mothers.
There are more than 29 thousand children with disabilities in Kyrgyzstan. One of the most vulnerable groups in the country is women who single-handedly raise special children living in remote areas with minimal income.
In order to support such families in winter, the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan together with its partner, the Swiss Red Cross, initiated a charity campaign in which the most needy families in the country can buy food, medicines, hygiene products, clothing and other goods. The campaign starts in Jalal-Abad region on Dec. 3, in honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Assistance will be provided to more than 200 families living in remote areas of the region. Until the end of 2018, it is planned to provide assistance to about 1,500 families across the country.
