Bishkek, July 20, 2020. /Kabar/. About 100 medical specialists from Russia will arrive in Kyrgyzstan to help fight COVID-19 coronavirus infection, the press service of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to an agreement between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russia Vladimir Putin, the Russian side will provide comprehensive assistance to the Central Asian republic in the fight against coronavirus infection.
Thus, a special board of the Russian Defense Ministry with a group of medical workers, equipment and medicines will arrive on July 21 in Bishkek. Russian specialists will work in hospitals in Bishkek and Osh.
A total of 100 Russian specialists will arrive in Kyrgyzstan, these are epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists who have practical experience in treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.
"We expect that Russia's assistance will help halt the spread of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic," the report says.
